What is the best exercise to lose weight?

There is an easy answer to this question and I think it is one you are going to like.

The best exercise to lose weight is the one you enjoy the most.

If I said that running was the best exercise to lose weight and you absolutely hate running. You would feel disheartened and the idea of exercising would rapidly lose its appeal.

You can choose your form of exercise based on your physical ability level and your enjoyment.

There are so many forms of exercise you can do to help you to lose weight, you might as well pick one you enjoy. If you enjoy it, you will be more likely to stick to it.

Personally, I don't like running, but I enjoy walking. So I go for a short walk every day. Nothing strenuous, just half an hour each day. It can make a massive difference to how I feel. This is a big enough reward in itself. Walking provides many health benefits and helps burn calories, find our more in my walking section.

Some people enjoy running. It's not for me, but each to their own :-)

It is undeniably a great way to keep fit and burn off those excess calories.

Do you like cycling? This can be great fun. You can start off doing gentle rides and work up to something more energetic, if you wanted. Of course, you could just keep it gentle. It all depends on your desire and your physical ability. Whatever you do, make sure it's fun. Biking is a nice activity to do with your family and friends too.

How about swimming? Swimming is an excellent exercise to lose weight because it uses all the muscles in your body. It can tone your body very nicely too :)

Do you want to build some physical strength? How about weight lifting to lose weight? This provides a win-win situation, burns off calories and builds up your muscles.

Do you like the idea of being able to exercise without leaving the house? How about getting a treadmill to lose weight. This means you can keep an eye on the kids, watch tv and still get your exercise. So you have no excuses now :-)
